On Friday January 4, our riders were presented to the public in an overloaded Ahoy, with almost 9,000 spectators. They were called on the track one by one, posed for a group photo and then distributed some gadgets to the audience. The riders wore the new team clothing of 36 Cycling and casual clothes from The Vandal. Thanks to Luxauto we were able to display a beautiful new team car at the entrance Ahoy, with the logos of all our partners on it.
Some more striking figures: Thanks to our partner Weststrate we managed to distribute 4,000 scarves to the audience in Ahoy. After the event, another 5,000 goodie bags with the new team magazine, made possible by Advice and Veldhuis Media, and products from our food partner NatuSport were distributed. It’s safe to say that as far as our team presentation is concerned we are undoubtedly among the biggest!
Furthermore, many partners were present in the VIP box of Roompot-Charles Cycling Team on the middle square in Ahoy for a unique experience of the Six Days and our team presentation. Ekoï, our supplier of helmets and sunglasses, had prepared a product presentation for the riders. Before the team presentation there was also a meeting with CSU in Ahoy where the new agreement was signed and celebrated in the presence of Lars Boom and our team leaders.
After this successful team presentation, we’re now looking forward to the training camp in Calpe, between 14 to 25 January.
